Fill This Place

"Fill This Place" is the latest single from Influence Music's upcoming album, SOAR, the official album of General Council 2015.

"Fill This Place" premieres today as the fourth single from the upcoming album, SOAR (Spirit-Empowered Worship), from Influence Music.

Jake Espy and Jerrica Matrone wrote "Fill This Place" while serving on the full-time worship staff at Red Rocks Church (AG), which currently serves an average of 3,000 people at three locations on the outskirts of Denver.

"Part of the culture here at Red Rocks is writing songs specifically for our church," Espy says. "'Fill this Place' declares the truth that God is light in our darkness, the answer to every issue or problem we are facing in our lives."

Matrone started singing the bridge one day in her car.

"It just became the anthem for my life," she says, "a simple little faith boost declaring 'I'm going to worship God no matter what.' Jake and I sang it together in our writing session and knew we wanted to include it somewhere in the song."

"Worship is at the heart of Red Rocks," says Pastor Shawn Johnson. "As a church whose mission is to 'make heaven more crowded,' we utilize worship as an opportunity to make a connection with people at all stages in their relationship with God. There is something vulnerable and unifying about standing together in an act of worship."

Produced by John Hartley (Matt Redman, Leigh Nash), SOAR will be available in August, featuring original worship music from leading church ministries around the U.S. The official worship release, SOAR, establishes a new benchmark, capturing the sounds and spirit of innovative churches around the world.
