National Girls Ministries Week

Under the theme of "A Beautiful Life," National Girls Ministries is looking for good mentors.

National Girls Ministries Week is Sept. 13-19 in the Assemblies of God. It marks the official beginning of the annual theme of "A Beautiful Life" for the 2015-16 school year. Assemblies of God local churches take this week out of the year to focus on ministry to girls in their world.

"The church can provide an ideal environment for girls to be mentored by women as they discover who God has created them to become," says Mandy Groot, National Girls Ministries director. "This year, particularly, we'd love to see even more godly women pouring into the lives of the girls in the church and community. Young ladies need encouragement, love, and acceptance, and women have the opportunity to make such an impact."

The annual theme, A Beautiful Life, is taken from 1 Peter 1:22.

"We have been created by God to live an extraordinary life of love -- a beautiful life of His design," Groot says. "It would be amazing to have the girls and women in the church collide this year with one heart and one focus -- to love one another deeply, from the heart."
