Making THE Difference Scholarships Awarded
AGTrust awarded a total of $123,000 in Making THE Difference Scholarships (MTD) this fall to 119 students - representing the 17 Assemblies of God colleges and universities located across the United States. The MTD scholarships are made available through AGTrust in cooperation with the Alliance for AG Higher Education.
AGTrust awards these scholarships designed to "make THE difference" for students. According to college administrators, even a smaller scholarship can often make the difference whether or not a student enrolls or continues their studies at an Assemblies of God university.
"Training young leaders is one of the major initiatives of AGTrust in our efforts to empower future generations for the task of fulfilling the Great Commission," says Dr. George O. Wood, chairman of AGTrust and general superintendent of the Assemblies of God. "We are investing in these young people through scholarships because we believe they will effectively reach multiplied thousands of people for Christ, if Jesus delays His coming, and will help build the kingdom of God in their generation."
Making THE Difference scholarships are awarded annually to students selected by the 17 individual AG schools, as AGTrust funds are available.
