App for PE News Now Available

The PE News app for iPhone (iOS) and Android can be dowloaded for free.

Keep up with news about and for the Assemblies of God anytime and from anywhere with the new PE News app. The PE News app is available as a free download for iPhone/iPad and Android phone/tablet users.

According to Chris Hill, Systems Development manager for the Assemblies of God, the app gives individuals the ability to access all PE News articles that are posted to the Web — as well as customize their viewing experience.

Hill, who is part of the Systems Development Team that oversaw the development of the app, says that readers will receive recommended articles based on their personal reader preference. They will also be able to browse by relevant news, featured content, or articles containing video; search the PE News archive using the search topic of their choice; search tags associated with the articles; and have the ability to subscribe to a weekly digest that’s emailed directly to them.

AG Communications Director Mark Forrester says, “We’ve built push notifications into the PE News app so that whenever significant news breaks within the Assemblies of God, we can keep you quickly informed and updated. This is an especially vital feature for whenever a disaster occurs, tragedy strikes, or a statement is issued.”

Forrester also recognizes that the Assemblies of God is a vast body of believers not limited to the United States.

“While PE News focuses on the U.S. Assemblies of God, we work closely with AG World Missions to keep you informed of significant issues impacting fellow believers throughout the world.”
