“Love of God,” a track from the "Hearts on Fire" worship compact disc recorded at North Central University, has been named No. 14 on Worship Leader’s Top 20 Worship Songs of 2015. The magazine’s list of honored songs includes major artists and writers such as Chris Tomlin, Hillsong, Vertical Worship, Matt Maher, Christy Nockels, Passion, Kristian Stanfill, Tim Hughes, and Matt Redman.

“Hearts on Fire” was recorded live during a series of NCU chapel worship experiences over a three-day period last February. It features original songs by North Central students and faculty, and was produced under the guidance of College of Fine Arts Dean Larry Bach and NCU faculty member/worship artist Jeff Deyo, a founding member of SONICFLOOD.

"The daily chapel worship here on the North Central campus is a unique experience that we are privileged to take part in every day,” Deyo says. “We wanted to capture that amazing experience — that personal connection to God through praise and worship and presence of the Holy Spirit — and share it with the world."

"Hearts on Fire" features NCU performing groups Worship Live, Concert Chorale, and One Accord, as well as Deyo and a packed NCU chapel.

"North Central is blessed with several amazingly talented groups of student vocalists and musicians," Bach says," and we are excited to share their artistry with everyone."
