SAGU Named a Top School for Online Bachelor's of Ministry Degree
Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU), Waxahachie, Texas, was recently named on Online Schools Center's "Top 20 Online Bachelor’s of Ministry Degree Programs" list for 2016.
Along with a 100 percent online availability requirement, OnlineSchoolsCenter.com methodology includes scoring for accreditation, tuition rates, financial aid availability, admission requirements, program/coursework options and degree outcomes.
SAGU College of Bible & Church Ministries Dean Mike Clarensau states, "Ministers live under the demands of enormous expectations and are called upon to demonstrate excellence in a wide array of responsibilities. Having access to the knowledge and experience of quality ministry teachers proves priceless."
Forbes.com ranked a pastoral ministry degree as the second most meaningful academic career path as a ministry degree equips students for many different career options including becoming a pastor, social worker, missionary or chaplain; or being involved in church administration, a Christian non-profit organization, and more.
Dr. Clarensau explains, "Today’s ministry programs provide numerous options for students to add specialties in addiction counseling, social work, community initiatives, education, and so much more. It seems just about any work that focuses on the needs of people provides an open door for those with extensive ministry training.”
Clarensau concludes that, “The complexity of today’s ministry work demands a well-designed plan of intentional training, the kind that students receive in dedicating themselves to the best preparation available."
