World AG Congress Postponed

Spanish government officials have forced the postponement of upcoming WAGF Congress due to fears over the Coronavirus
The 9th Triennial Congress of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship, scheduled for March 19-21 in Madrid, Spain, has been postponed due to the decision of the General Director of Public Health, Quality, and Innovation of the Ministry of Health of the Government of Spain.

“It is with great regret that the Congress has been postponed due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak,” states Dr. George O. Wood, chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship. “We really had no choice in the matter. Rev. Juan Carlos Escobar, superintendent of the Assemblies of God of Spain, and his team have prepared for this Congress for three years. Almost 6,000 people had already registered.”

Dr. Wood reports that the World Assemblies of God Congress hosts in Spain are working diligently to secure a new date for the Congress later this year. Any announcement will be posted at the conference website: Unlimited2020.com.

In the meantime, the Assemblies of God family is called to prayer that the virus outbreak will be restrained, and life can be returned back to normal.
