Next Generation Grant Assists Future Chaplain

Alicia Dair can now pursue her desire to become a military chaplain more easily thanks to an AGTrust Next Generation Grant,.
Alicia Dair, a graduate of both Evangel University and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri, is working toward the goal of full-time ministry as a U.S. Army chaplain. Recently she received an AGTrust Next Generation Grant to help pay back her student loans and continue her ministry pursuit.

The years of education required for Dair to reach her goal and equip her for chaplaincy have been costly, and it was difficult for Dair’s mother, as a single-parent, to help. Although Dair received some funds from college scholarships, she also had to rely on loans.

“I'd like to thank you, AGTrust family, for the AG Next Generation Grant you helped provide for me and many other AG college graduates preparing for full-time ministry,” Dair says. “This grant is incredibly helpful as I begin to pay back my educational loans, and I'm so thankful to be a recipient of such a wonderful blessing.”

Dair, who sensed God calling her to chaplaincy at age 16, is currently fulfilling requirements for ministry experience for chaplaincy while paying off her school loans. She serves as a Family Support Specialist for the Dream Center of Springfield (Missouri). She also serves on the pastoral care team at North Point Church in Springfield.

“I have finished my master's degree, and I am excited to continue taking the next steps on the road to military chaplaincy,” Dair says. “Thank you again, AGTrust partners. You have been quite generous, and I am forever grateful.”

Each year AGTrust awards scholarships and grants to hundreds of students and graduates of the 17 Assemblies of God universities.
