With courses such as Missionary Spiritual Health, Missions Coaching and Mentoring, Trends and Issues in Mobilization, and Future of Missions, Trinity is touting the new degree as the first of its kind anywhere in the world. The program is immediately available for registration for the fall 2020 school year.
Trinity’s M.A. in Intercultural Studies is designed to prepare missionaries to excel in ministry in a cross-cultural context. In addition to studying the theological foundations of missiology, students will gain practical wisdom to remain healthy and thriving on the field. This program is a comprehensive, in-depth study of topics relevant to missiology and missions mobilization.
“This one-of-a-kind M.A. degree equips missionaries, mobilizers, and missions pastors with the necessary tools to increase the number of missionaries being sent around the world,” says David P. Jacob, the program’s director. “With the declining numbers of long-term missionaries sent from the U.S., this new degree is crucial for equipping Christian leaders to send and sustain more missionaries around the world.”
The M.A. in Intercultural Studies is a 48-credit program students can complete in as little as two years. For more information about Trinity’s new M.A. Intercultural Studies, email the admissions office or view the program details online.
In 2018, the school opened the Center for Missionary Mobilization and Retention in an effort to keep career missionaries on the field and to open new avenues for people respond to the call. Jacob, who is missionary in residence, is the founder and director of the center. The center is in partnership with Assemblies of God World Missions.
Trinity Bible College and Graduate School is accredited by the Association of Biblical Higher Education. Trinity has experience a turnaround in recent years and offers a variety of major and programs, all with a focus in keeping Christ at the center of learning.
