AG News Launches New Podcast
Season one of the AG News podcast offers listeners in-depth interviews that reveal divine healings, miraculous interventions, and powerful testimonies.
Little David laid in bed crying. When his mother, Andrea, came into the room, she asked why he was crying. “God spoke to me,” the little boy said. “What did He say?” his mother responded. David said God had told him his grandfather was being healed. About a month later, doctors confirmed that little David’s grandfather, pastor David Stewart, who was facing bladder and prostate removal due to recurring cancerous tumors, no longer needed the surgery as there was no longer any evidence of cancer in his bladder or any residual cancer cells from previous surgeries to be found!
It was a miracle! Stewart has remained cancer-free since that January 2022 doctor’s report.
Healings like Stewart’s, miraculous interventions, guidance — stories where the answers can only be found in the promises of God’s Word — these are the kinds of stories being shared in the new AG News podcast episodes currently being released.
Featuring the interviewing talents of former television news anchors Ethan and Sara Forhetz, the new AG News podcasts bring an in-depth look to some of the most fascinating, inspirational, and God-glorifying stories in the Assemblies of God.
“Ethan and Sara take listeners far beyond what can be found in news articles,” explains Keith Surface, director of AG News. “They are able to ask the probing questions that take listeners behind the scenes, to deeper spiritual contexts and, at times, conflicts, that may be quite surprising, but resonate with authenticity and the power of God working in and through lives.”
In this first season of AG News-specific podcast, there will be a series of eight podcasts released weekly over a two-month period. Each podcast is ideal for listening during drive times, lunch breaks, workout sessions, or even as part of a devotional time.
“God is doing so many incredible things right now in and through the Assemblies of God, but too often those stories aren’t heard or shared with the broader Church,” Surface says. “Our prayer is that these podcasts will inspire and encourage believers, and that they’ll share them with their friends, family, and those who need to hear.”
Surface emphasizes that the AG News podcast is not just a collection of stories that happen to other people.
“These stories are simply examples of God working in and through lives of people who believe in Him,” Surface says. “We hope the podcasts ultimately lead people to experiencing God and being used by Him in ways they never imagined.”
Currently two of the new AG News podcasts are available on the AG News site under the podcast tab, including: Hiking for the Lost: A Missionary’s Journey to Connect with Long-Distance Hikers, and David Stewart — Still a God of Miracles. Every episode will also be made available upon their release on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple or wherever you choose to access your podcasts from. The next podcast will be posted on Jan. 22.
