This is That – Pentecost Sunday 2026

With Pentecost Sunday taking place in just a few days, pastors, Sunday School teachers, and laypeople can find a wealth of free resources and information on the Holy Spirit on the Assemblies of God Pentecost Sunday page.

“This is That” is the theme for 2026 Pentecost Sunday. The phrase comes from Acts 2:16 where Peter, having just come from the Upper Room where he, along with other believers, had received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, addresses a bewildered crowd of onlookers. Peter explains they are witnessing the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy for “this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel” (emphasis added).
