Four Honored with the General Superintendent's Medal of Honor
During the Thursday afternoon business session at the 57th General Council in Anaheim, four members of TEXZON Technologies — Kenneth Corum, James Corum, Michael Miller, and David Griffith — were presented with the Assemblies of God’s highest award for lay persons, the General Superintendent's Medal of Honor.
The Corum brothers have deep roots in the Assemblies of God and all four men have been a part of discovering, developing, and moving forward a new technology that will allow electricity to be transported wirelessly.
The men also desire to direct the technologies and resources gained toward Kingdom purposes for the end-time harvest.
General Superintendent George O. Wood, who presented the medals of honor, began by sharing about the Corum brothers’ grandmother, Lillie Corum, the pioneer of Pentecost in Springfield, Missouri, and founder of what would become Central Assembly of God.
Wood then presented the citations as follows:
Dr. James F. Corum
Listed in Who’s Who in Engineering, Dr. James F. Corum was cited as a "National Treasure" by The Office of the U.S. Secretary of Defense.
Dr. Corum is the authentic inventor of the contra-wound and cross-wound Toroidal Helix Antenna technologies and holds several dozen patents. He has published over 100 notes and technical papers in numerous prestigious publications.
Dr. Corum has been involved professionally with several of the nation’s top private research and development centers and is currently serving as Chief Scientist at Texzon Technologies where he is also a founder and principal owner. Dr. Corum, along with his brother Ken’s work with surface waves, is expected to transform the way the world transports energy by enabling electricity to be transported wirelessly.
Dr. Corum served in academia for 18 years on the engineering/physics faculties at several universities, and as Senior Scientist, Research Leader, and Chief Scientist for a number of technology corporations. He has consulted for industry and dozens of government agencies. The recipient of many research and teaching awards, his electromagnetic research has been recognized by prestigious scientific organizations and professional societies around the world.
Dr. Corum has deep roots in the Assemblies of God. In 1907, his grandmother, Lillie Corum, became the first person in Springfield, Missouri, known to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit. After prayer meetings outgrew her family’s home, she became one of two founding women pastors of Central Assembly of God in Springfield.
Kenneth L. Corum
An accomplished and respected physicist, Kenneth L. Corum taught digital techniques, and software engineering for Compugraphics, ATEX/Kodak, Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems. He was director of the Commercial Satellite Division of Pinzone Communications, was a staff consultant for Sun Microsystems, (now known as “Oracle”), and has taught industrial software courses in England, Russia, China among other countries.
Ken is currently Chief Scientist for TEXZON Technologies in Red Oak, Texas. Ken, along with his brother, James’ work with surface waves is expected to transform the way the world transports energy by enabling electricity to be transported wirelessly.
Ken holds several domestic and foreign patents. He is listed in American Men and Women of Science, and other dictionaries. His fundamental work on slow-wave helical resonators and Nikola Tesla’s laboratory generation of ball lightning was published by the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1990.

For a life of faithfulness and service, bringing glory to God and to this Fellowship, it gives me great pleasure to confer upon Kenneth L. Corum the church’s highest award for lay persons, The General Superintendent’s Medal of Honor.
